Birgkarhaus was first documented around 1850 and served as a shelter for mountain climbers seeking refuge. Surrounded by alpine pastures, forests, and mountains, Birgkar is a truly special place. We decided to make this unique spot our home and share it with our guests. In redesigning Birgkar, we honored the long history of the house while creating a modern simplicity. The result is a light-filled retreat in the heart of nature, where we cherish what is most valuable – the connection with family, loved ones, and friends.
